Dr. Donald R Stranahan
Dr. Donald R. Stranahan, Jr. is a native of Maryland's Eastern Shore, growing up in Easton and graduating from Easton High School. He then attended Washington College, where he graduated with honors, summa cum laude, earning a bachelor of science in psychology with a concentration in behavioral neuroscience. He went on to receive his medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine, where he earned several awards for academic achievements, graduating summa cum laude. There, he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. Dr. Stranahan completed his internship in Internal Medicine at Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland, and then residency training in Dermatology at the University of South Florida School of Medicine in Tampa, Florida.
Upon completion of residency training, Dr. Stranahan returned home to the Eastern Shore with his wife, Brigitte, also of Easton, and their two children. They are thrilled to be back home where they can be closer to family and friends. In his spare time, Dr. Stranahan enjoys the outdoors, fishing, boating, and spending time with loved ones.
Dr. Stranahan is board certified in dermatology, and is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. He is also a member of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. He has several publications in peer reviewed journals and currently serves as a peer reviewer for the Journal of Drugs in Dermatology. Dr. Stanahan is a member of the American Medical Association as well as a member of the National Psoriasis Foundation and has been featured in the Who's Who Registry among Executives and Professionals in the field of Research, Medicine and Healthcare.
Dr. Stranahan provides complete dermatology care to all age groups. Specializing in skin cancer detection and surgery, Dr. Stranahan also provides general medical and cosmetic dermatology.
