Three For Me Q & A

What is ThreeForMe?

ThreeForMe is a laser-based technology used to treat a range of common aesthetic skin conditions, including:

  • Age spots
  • Broken blood vessels
  • Crow’s feet
  • Fine lines
  • Freckles
  • Rosacea
  • Scars
  • Skin blemishes
  • Spider veins
  • Wrinkles

ThreeForMe combines Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) and microbeam laser technology to rejuvenate skin and reduce any blemishes.

How does ThreeForMe treatment work?

ThreeForMe treatment consists of targeting the problem area in two ways. In the first pass, your dermatologist uses IPL to destroy cells in discolored areas of skin. In the second pass, microbeam technology targets the underlying tissues to boost the production of collagen and elastin.

Collagen and elastin support your skin and keep it taut, but the fall in production that accompanies the aging process causes the skin to develop lines and wrinkles. By stimulating your body to increase the production of collagen and elastin, ThreeForMe helps to reverse these signs of aging.

What happens during a ThreeForMe treatment session?

The treatment is a straightforward outpatient procedure, and since there are no injections or incisions in your skin, you won’t need to take time off to recover. At your request, a topical anesthetic cream or cooling gel pack will be applied to the area to ensure your comfort during the procedure. Following treatment, your face may be red or puffy, but this should disappear within a few days.

How long does it take for a ThreeForMe treatment to work?

If you’re having blood vessels treated, you should see an improvement right away. Age spots and other discolored lesions gradually darken and are shed as your skin renews itself, which normally takes about two weeks.

The production of new collagen and elastin takes several months, so the improvement in crow’s feet and wrinkles happens gradually over time. Around three months after the treatment, you should see full results.

How many ThreeForMe treatments will I need?

At your initial consultation, your provider can give you a better idea of how many treatment sessions you’ll need, which varies depending on what you’re having treated. Each treatment session lasts about 30 minutes, and on average patients need three treatment sessions within a three-month period.
